American Wood Fibers (AWF) was founded in 1966 and is recognized as a leader in the field of specialty forestry products. Production Operator

AWF is hiring Production Operator(s) at our Marysville, CA facility for all shifts. The production operator may also be responsible for handling the operation of various equipment – fork trucks, yard trucks, and wheel loaders.

Responsibilities of a Production Operator:

  • Assists and operates various packaging equipment.
  • Prepares custom orders as per the bill of lading
  • Loads and unloads various trucks, as needed.
  • Performs daily cleanup activities and other duties as assigned.
  • Operates forks trucks and other power lift equipment as needed.
  • Maintains and verifies all required paperwork as a part of the job’s responsibility. This includes items such as – production, cleaning, and shipping paperwork.
  • Must follow all safety and plant rules. Must adhere to plant policies including: attendance, non-smoking, and breaks. Must use all required personal protection equipment (PPE).

Qualifications of a Production Operator:

  • High School diploma or GED

AWF in Marysville, CA seeks a maintenance technician to perform scheduled preventative maintenance, CMMS reporting, repair and maintenance of semi-trailer fleet; working with mechanical equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic valves, cylinders, pumps, motors, conveyor systems, motor controls, breakers and PLC controls. Prior experience as an industrial mechanical technician highly preferred. Experience in industrial maintenance, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting required.

Regional OTR Truck Driver Class A CDL:
AWF is seeking Regional OTR CDL-A Company Drivers out of the Pella, IA area.  AWF Express, a division of American Wood Fibers, is searching for a Regional OTR Truck Driver with CDL Class A license for our Pella, IA terminal. Full-time CDL Class A Driver is needed!

Regional OTR Truck Driver Class A CDL Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a current Commercial Drivers License, Class A
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Ability to speak and read the English language
  • Minimum one year of driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Requires to be out up to 4 nights a week, but home every weekend.

Regional OTR Truck Driver Class A CDL Pay & Benefits:

Eastern Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Achieves assigned sales targets for Eastern US by creating, selling, forecasting, executing and communicating annual account business plans with Regional Account Managers and the VP of Sales and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for consistently delivering and exceeding sales objectives set forth by the VP of Sales for the Eastern US and overall company growth objectives.
  • Builds and maintains appropriate business plans, promotional calendars, new product distribution goals and account profiles for each direct customer. Effectively communicates/collaborates with the Region team to ensure information is shared in a timely manner and to drive team alignment around customer plans and objectives.  Works closely with direct customers and Regional Account Managers to build sales and distribution, grow market share and improve shelf space for the AWF brands. Sell the entire AWF sales portfolio on each sales call.
  • The RSM Monitors sales objectives and develops gap plans with direct customers and the regions to achieve the sales goal.
  • Completes quarterly business reviews with the VP of Sales and Regional Account Managers encompassing results versus sales goals, call objectives, new item placements, new customer gains and region management.
  • Responsible for updating monthly forecast for direct accounts as well as reviewing the Regional Account Managers’ territories. Use available data to accurately forecast sales and set appropriate performance goals.
  • Consistently spends appropriate time and effort to source leads and find new customers for the AWF brand portfolio in the Eastern US.
  • Dedicated team player who will work with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing in driving team sales growth.
  • Protects AWF by anticipating and responding immediately to competitive bids for AWF business
  • Effectively utilizes the company’s CRM system and processes to drive profitable sales results.
  • Develops a travel plan to cover geographic territory resulting in consistent coverage and enhancing customer relationships from in person calls.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 7 years of CPG experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in leading a sales team
  • Previous experience in senior sales role with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members at every level of the organization
  • Travel Required Approximately 30% plus travel, to include 5 overnights a month. (Subject to Covid policy).
